Bongeziwe Mabandla Live @ 44 Stanley (Johannesburg) SOLD OUT

Thu Apr 22, 19:00 - Sat Apr 24, 21:30
44 Stanley

It is with great pleasure that we welcome Bongeziwe Mabandla back to the stage for his first performances of 2021.

At the end of last year we saw Bongeziwe offer an intimate, solo experience of his latest album iimini to sold-out shows across SA and Europe. iimini, an album that won the hearts of many, stood the true test of time, yet topped various charts and cemented Mabandla’s standing as an artist of the most singular gifts.

In April 2021, Bongeziwe will be joined by his creative partner and producer, Tiago Correia-Paulo. The duo’s working relationship has evolved into a true creative collaboration – one that simultaneously roots itself in the deep and fertile soil of Mabandla’s folk instincts and Correia-Paulo’s intuitive feel for a broad range of music, including electronica.

The Bongeziwe Mabandla Tour, presented by Black Major, is in partnership with Striped Horse Premium Beer.

PLEASE NOTE: The 44 Stanley shows will be hosted in the courtyard in collaboration with Peachy, The Bioscope and Little Addis Café. Therefore seating will be at first-come-first-serve basis and you will only be able to order your food and refreshments from the venue where you are seated. So, arrive at the earliest of your convenience to get the spot that you prefer.

Doors open at 19h00. Show starts at 20h30 sharp.
