ABOUT

|| REFUGE ||

Expressive Movement is an embodied practice of self-exploration, a movement meditation. A chance to drop into your body, to listen in and to move with whatever is present for you. REFUGE is a new offering that combines Expressive Movement with other healing and creative modalities.

These sessions are designed to take the you on a journey, taking refuge in yourself, in the wisdom of your body and offering space to exhale after all this time. These sessions will be offered in-person over 5 weeks to a closed group. The sessions are longer than our drop-in classes as we will integrate and process what comes up in the hour-long dance through other practices including writing, art-making and ancestral resourcing work.

Dates: Thursday evening from April 8th - May 6th.

Time: 18:00 - 20:30 pm

Venue: 196 Victoria Road, Woodstock, Cape Town.

Spaces are limited so we can adhere to COVID safety requirements.

The full series is offered on a sliding scale of between R1800 and R3200, with two sponsored places for people who are without an income at this time. Please be in touch if you want to discuss rates, discounts or explore an exchange.

Who will be facilitating this process?

My name is Carly Tanur. I am trained in Expressive Movement, Family and Systems Constellations and Social Process Work. I am curious about the practices that help us connect to ourselves, each other and the world, in ways that make us all come alive. My own healing journey is the foundation for the work I offer. Dancing, painting and ancestral healing work have been my ways of coming home to myself. My hope is to hold space for others to do the same.
