Vensters 2021!

Vensters is an annual event hosted by Stellenbosch University (SU) for their newcomers. The new Maties collaborate within their residences and private student organisations (PSOs) to showcase their various talents for the Stellenbosch community. It simultaneously allows the newcomers to grow confident in their new environment and get a taste of the Maties Spirit. Each performance is jam-packed with upbeat, jubilant dances and critical informative dialogues. These vibrant, festive and enchanting performances are connected to the social impact projects of SU.  

This year, Vensters goes virtual. The residences and PSO’s have been partnered together. Each team will deliver an exciting performance centred around the theme of “The Masks We Wear”. 

A total of 14 partnerships will deliver a 15-minute performance that they have pre-recorded throughout the beautiful Stellenbosch University landscape. These videos will be displayed consecutively throughout the virtual link that will be emailed to you before the performance.

The students have been practicing and filming throughout the lively streets of Stellenbosch since the beginning of their welcoming programme and making the streets come alive with music and dance.
