The Open Mic Experiment with you!

What is The Open Mic Experiment?

It’s a new event series from our imagination station, as a response to the paradigm shift ushered in by 2020.

We will be gathering for an indoor picnic at The Madison (art studios).

We want you to bring your picnic basket and set up camp with your favourite humans, food, blanky, cushions & drinks - each picnic will be spaced to ensure that you are & feel safe.

(Yummy burgers and alcohol will be sold)

When you are settled, you will be lifted by the musical gifts from these artists:

In between the music, there will be poetry from:

• @philile_nkabinde

• @mpumi_dee

@walaza will take the chair and transport us through her gift of storytelling.

The indoor picnic will fold into a rooftop party where the experiment will be at play.

We will not have a DJ for the rooftop party, because it will be your chance to grace us with your gifts.

We want to watch the sunset to a voice and talent that’s been in hiding, or one that’s been waiting to come out!

So singers, beat makers, poets and smooth rappers - this part of the party will be for you to share your gift with the crowd!
