The Queen of the Concrete Jungle

The Hellraiser’s Hootenanny will be a day filled with hotrods, classic bikes, live music, dancing and of course Johannesburg’s first psychobilly pinup pageant! We are looking for a pinup who can carry herself in the concrete jungle with poise, but still makes the sidewalk sizzle beneath her feet!

If you feel you have what it takes to be The Queen of the Concrete Jungle send a photo and a short bio about yourself (hobbies, style, etc) to [email protected] Entries open on 1st October and close 27th November. If picked you will be one of ten lucky babes to compete at the event! An entry fee of R200 per contestant will ensure your spot in the pageant (and keep any of you from getting cold feet!). All contestants will be given goodie bags filled with pin up treats from our many sponsors. On top of the glory of being crowned “Queen of the Concrete Jungle” the winner will receive a professional pin up photo shoot by Bronwyn Stewart from Bettie Bombshell Photography and a custom pin up dress by Pink Bungalow, as well as a personal burlesque lesson taught by Miss Oh and Foxy Bonnet!

Our celebrity panel of judges is: The Legendary Blue Haired Betty from Cape Town, Gabbi Katz! The Indomitable Burlesque Artiste and Fire Performer Foxy Bonnet! The Dazzling Beautiful Drag Queen Calamity Jane! The Iconic Martin Rocka!

The judges will be looking for the following (but not limited to!) :

*Originality
*Crowd appeal
*Styling
*Self Confidence
*Inner and outer beauty

There will be three categories to the pageant; The introduction, creative dress section with a Q&A (you may dress as whatever you like! a gory zombie babe? Your favourite character? A beautiful vintage number you found?) and lastly the crowning, so get your best pin up outfits ready!
