About Chef Jay Mac:
Jason McNamara is a local vegan advocate and chef who founded The Kind Kitchen. Jay gained his skills in vegan culinary arts at The Natural Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts in Austin, Texas. To accommodate the growing demand for his vegan food, Jay crowd-funded his first café and deli in mid-2018.
Menu for the day:
Starter meal- Chicken Nuggies with Guacamole
· 1x Fry's Chicken Style Nuggets
· 2 Large Ripe Avocados
· 2-4 tbsp lime juice
· 2 tsp red onion, fine diced
· 1-2 cloves garlic, minced
· 1/2 tsp Salt or to taste
· 5g Coriander, chopped
· Black Pepper to taste
Main meal - Mediterranean Inspired Tik Tok Boerie Tortillas
- 1x Pack Big Fry Boerewors
- 1x 6 Pack Multiseed Tortillas Wraps
- 1/2 Cup olive oil
- 1/2 balsamic vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 large red onion, sliced into rings
- 1 Tub store bought hummus
- 1x Pack Aubergines
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup mixed fresh herbs of choice (sage, basil & oregano suggested)
- 1 tbsp salt
- Store bought mixed veg pickles (ie. Gherkins, peppers, carrots etc)
- Fresh chilli (optional)
No Special equipment required.
Please ensure you have all the ingredients prepared, diced, etc before the session starts.
Do not forget to have your ingredients on hand for the live event.
