ABOUT

EMOTIONAL RESILIENCE

Powerful Tools to Bounce Remain, Remain in Charge, Navigate Adversity and Workplace Challenges

We are living with the reality of doing more with less, increasing “to do lists,” excessive sensory stimulation by being “always on”, sedentary lifestyles by sitting longer on our computers, constant disruption and on-going change. All these can sometimes leave us feeling like we are in a pressure cooker. These developments increase emotional pressure marked by anxiety, overwhelm, apathy. Having the ability to bounce back or even resist the shock caused by these developments becomes critical for sustainability. Emotional resilience is a huge asset for organisations and individuals. Change and adversity results in a roller coaster of emotions, mostly negative emotions and emotional fatigue may be inevitable as there is continuous emotional stimulation. We all experience challenging days and times when you think that things are out of control. Emotional resilience is one’s ability to cope and adapt to these stressful situations and difficulties, to be able to bounce back when life`s challenges occur. Building emotional resilience is the only sure way to gain control back and take charge of your life.

During this 1 day session, participants will gain perspective on key areas such as:

  • Understanding emotional resilience
  • What the variables of resilience and the 7 C’s of resilience are
  • Learning how change disrupts psychological needs satisfaction
  • Mastering how to reorganise or reconstruct self when disrupted
  • Learn how to build your own toolkit for emotional resilience
