CHEF: GEORGE JARDINE

A renowned and celebrated chef who has been amongst the Eat Out Restaurant Award winners for nearly a decade, Chef George Jardine of Jordan and Jardine Restaurant fame will be treating us to his masterful cooking techniques as he shows us how to make his sumptuous and flavourful signature dish for our second episode of 2021.


THE DISH: Seared Beef Sirloin

Using delicious seasonal vegetables, he will introduce us to some fusion cuisine with his signature Seared Beef Sirloin and Charred Aubergine served with Creamed Swiss Chard and Roasted Baby Tomatoes. “I love cooking with aubergine,” says George, “they’re amazing right now and perfect for the season. This dish is easy to do in large numbers, too, while still maintaining a beautiful presentation. It has a bit of Mediterranean-Scottish-Asian influence so these flavours are something to look forward to when we cook together on the Live-Cook Channel.”

Over and above the chefs ingredients, in your meal kit, you'll receive three exquisite bottles of Zevenwacht wine! We'll be having our very own virtual wine pairing as we talk about the tastes, tannins and terroir of the incredible Stellenbosch wine route. But that's not all. Easter comes early this March, with Cadbury providing some awesome ingredients for a tasty dessert. What a way to end dinner. Delish! 


DELIVERY

We delivery on the day of the cook-along between 8 am and 2 pm to metropolitan areas in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Over and above the ingredients we delivered to you, all you need is internet connectivity and basic pantry items such as olive oil, salt, pepper, butter or sugar.
