Workshop on Saw Blades, Router Bits and Sharpening!
Welcome to the Fourth Week of the Hardware Centre Summer Expo!
The team from Hardware Centre decided that the worldwide COVID pandemic is not going to stop us from hosting our legendary Summer Expo in 2020. With the government directives and rules regarding events limiting us on the number of customers who will be able to attend, we had to be very creative in how we are to host the event.
We decided that in this case, more is better. Why not host the Summer Expo over a period of 6 weeks instead of the 1 weekend?
Hardware Centre will host a Power Tool demonstration as well as a workshop every weekend from 7 November 2020 to 12 December 2020. For more information on the schedule of events please keep an eye out for our newsletters and visit the Calendar section on our website!
For Week 4 of our Summer Expo we will showcase the high quality tools from the Bosch and Dremel ranges. Jan, our local Bosch Expert, will be available to showcase these fine tools, and to answer any questions you might have on any of the tools in the Bosch stable. Audrey will also be available to showcase the versatile Dremel Rotary MultiTools, as well as the awesome mini scroll saw, the Dremel MotoSaw! Audrey is an expert on all things Dremel, so be sure to come and ask her advice on all of your Dremel uncertainties! Pierre from Tormek will also be available throughout the day to demonstrate the unique features of the Tormek wet-stone sharpening systems.These demonstration will start at 08:00 and will be available throughout the day until 13:00.
Freud Blades is a very well known brand in the woodworking community. The quality of these Italian made saw blades have set the standard for all saw blades, and with their huge range of blades they cater for all the needs of the woodworker. But blades is not where the buck stops with Freud. They also have a huge range of Router Bits and other tools, made by the same factory with the same quality!
We are privileged to have Warren from Freud, who will host a workshop on the range of Freud Saw Blades and Router bits. Warren will delve into the application of all the different saw blades, router bits, drill bits and cutters, and have a range of these fine tools on display for display. He encourages all of us to touch, feel and kiss the tools and experience the quality first hand! Warren will also delve into the mystic art of sharpening and explain the process of sharpening a saw blade. I never knew so much effort goes into that "simple" task!
The workshop will start at 09:00 to 12:00, and Warren will be available outside these times to answer any questions you have on the Freud range of products.
