ABOUT

Dignity: the state or quality of being worthy of honour or respect.

When reporting physical violence, rape, assault, or any form of gender-based violence; victims are often reporting these crimes in the same state in which they were left in. Reporting these crimes can take hours of reliving the traumatic experience, victims deserve dignity. Dignity Packs consist of essential sanitary and hygiene items packaged and distributed to police stations for women who have been raped or have experienced physical violence seeking help within the first 24 hours of their experience. These packs are used to restore the dignity of victims of gender-based violence when seeking help during their traumatic time. Often when victims of such crimes arrive at police stations, they arrive in the same state their perpetrators left them in. Reporting these crimes takes courage, Dignity Packs help victims turn into survivors.
