It has been close to three years since the release of Lucy’s debut album and her emergence on the South African music scene. The growth in these years, due to relentless touring and collaborations with various artists, has resulted in a new avenue for the artist - one of colourful soundscapes, dreamy melodies and primal rhythms, while still staying true to her roots of acoustic folk and her honest way with words.
Last year Lucy and her band (Andre Leo, Lucas Swart, Calvin Siderfin and Werner von Waltsleben) recorded their latest offering ‘Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys’ live over three days in a house in Onrus. The EP was mixed and mastered by Gerdus
Oosthuizen. The idea was to keep the sound as honest and authentic as possible - a group of friends coming together to create something special.
Lucy is currently working a new album with The Lost Boys in which she hopes to further explore her growing sound of psychedelic folk laced with dream pop.
Lucy and her musical partner, Andre Leo have just returned from a three month tour around Europe and the UK with their other project, ‘Medicine Boy’.
They look forward to playing a few gentler and more intimate shows in their hometown over the next few months.
The EP is available to buy on iTunes.
