A Journey To Purity…

'A Journey to Purity' tackles the complex yet contradictory nature of femininity. It looks at the construct of female sexuality and the varying ideas, pressures and ideals that are thrown at the female: she is expected to be sexually receptive, while viciously prudish. She is asked to be sexually passive, yet always willing. She is told to abstain but encouraged to explore. The collection explores the story of an adolescent girl tumbling and fumbling her way into womanhood. A journey of discovering a very hidden truth which is that purity has very little to do with what's between her legs.

The Artist…

Oboitshepo Tladi is a freelance editor, writer and content creator, as well as a passionate artist and Youtuber. She is currently residing in Cape Town, South Africa. She is a strong advocate for women and girls. She believes that by empowering young girls to recognise the significance of their feminine journeys, they will be transformed, gain knowledge about themselves, and be empowered to proudly walk in their supernatural nature which is at the core of their femininity. She believes that through faith and intimacy young women can take up their rightful positions in this world. To this extent Oboitshepo has a Youtube channel where she teaches, encourages, and shares her story. She goes on to inspire many through her life, art, and experiences. She holds an Honors degree in linguistics and has recently completed her Masters in the same field.
