Dyer Tribe Music presents

Bokani Dyer ‘Kelenosi’ (Live)

Bokani Dyer’s latest studio album ‘Kelenosi’, recorded during lockdown due to the covid-19 pandemic when access to other musicians and live performance were non-existent. ‘Kelenosi’ is Setswana for ‘By Myself’ and was Bokani’s creative outlet during this time.

Somewhat a departure from his previous work, it is a piano album supported by electronic production delving into the realm of beat music. The 8-track offering is a reflection on the lockdown experience as well as tribute songs to greats Bheki Mseleku, Fela Kuti and Ahmad Jamal.

The launch performance on the 26th of November will feature:

Bokani Dyer - piano/keyboard

Clement Carr - keyboard/synthesizers

Leagan ‘Starchild’ Breda - drums

Tendai ‘Shoxx’ Shoko bass

Untitled Basement is slowly opening again, and the unintended benefits of lockdown regulations is the ability to experience rare live music performances with limited audience numbers. The downside is that the limited capacity is unsustainable for artists, therefore we are doing 2 sets of one hour each, guests are required to book a ticket for each set, though one set is still as valuable and a rich experience as expected from Untitled Basement and the artists we feature.
