ABOUT

PLEASE FOLLOW ALL COVID19 PROTOCOLS, SOCIAL DISTANCING & OTHER REGULATIONS WHEN ATTENDING OUR EVENTS

Due to current Covid 19 regulations there will be NO ORGANISED MASS RIDE or LARGE SCALE PUBLIC GATHERING / ENTERTAINMENT this year over the weekend.

ONLY A COLLECTION OF DONATIONS FOR DISTRIBUTION .

The Motorcycle Toy Run is South Africa’s largest motorcycle event, and it’s all for charity. Every year tens of thousands of bikes rally together country-wide for give joy to the needy children of South Africa. Thousands of toys are strapped to bikes and paraded through the major capital cities. Please support the 38th annual Toy Run, this year Gauteng's toy collection is again at Benoni Northerns sports ground Benoni, on 28th & 29th November 2020 between 10 am and 3pm

Whether you donate toys & gifts or funds, you immediately change the lives of children in need in homes, orphanages, places of safety and hospitals around Gauteng - YOU can make the difference! The Toy Run Gauteng needs more toys to be donated - LOTS more. If you would like to donate a gift or toy but cannot attend the event, you can donate a toy at The ENGEN Blockhouse 1 stop North, Randvaal Rd R59 (usually a start venue) ALSO The Irene Village Mall (also Usually A start Venue) during the Toyrun Weekend or you can make a donation here when registering.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the main Toy Run event venue to drop off your donations and see the motorcycles (or on yours if you have one) and to be part of one of the largest charity events in the country. Please note again due to covid regulations we have to restrict the number of people on site at any one time so whilst we hope the volume of motorcycles will be the same as usual they will be spread over the whole weekend. So in order to facilitate this we request you view the groups arrival and departure from the sides of the road on routes around. the venue, observing the social distancing regulations and the normal road safety considerations.

If you want to be able to say that you attended the Toy Run Gauteng 2020, you MUST REGISTER on this site. This year for the first time due to the regulations there is no official start venue and riders can start from wherever they choose and go directly to the end venue BENONI NORTHERNS SPORTS GROUNDS, Northmead Benoni AT ANY TIME DURING THE TOY RUN WEEKEND (28th/29th November 2020) to make your donation of toys and gifts. Sorting and distribution volunteers will be there between 10am and 3PM on both days. (this is to stagger the attendance and limit the number of people present at one time to comply with covid regulations).

Please Take care on the roads, there will be no road marshals, no metro police escort and no road closures - RIDE SAFE!

On this site you can donate funds, register your participation and order your unique special limited edition commemorative Toy Run 2020 badge and Toy Run Tee shirt. (these will only be ordered from suppliers based on specific orders placed here prior to a deadline yet to be set).

Any excess funds and donations will be used to further the project plans for the Toy Run Charity and purchase additional toys and gifts for the many hundreds of homes, orphanages, places of safety, hospitals, organisations and disadvantaged communities that rely on the Toy Run to provide toys and gifts for the children in need.

DISCLAIMER Anyone attending the event does so entirely at their own risk and by participating indemnifies the organisers, their agents and representatives against any liability, howsoever arising
