Elephant’s Eye Cave Hike

Located within the Silvermine Nature Reserve on the Constantiaberg Mountain is the trail to Elephant’s Eye Cave.  So, called because the fact that this mountain looks like the shape of an elephant’s head and the cave is perfectly located where the eye would be.

Silvermine offers spectacular scenery and views of the Cape Flats and False Bay as you walk past an abundance of fynbos - the vegetation unique to South Africa.

Bring your swimwear to swim in the reservoir to cool down.

The pick-up point is outside the Rockwell Hotel on Prestwich Street.
