Devil's Peak via the Knife Edge Hike

Join us on a guided full-day hike up to the summit of the imposing and iconic Devil's Peak! We hike it from Rhodes Memorial via the Knife Edge to scramble to the summit after tagging Minor Peak along the way. It's a true classic offering fun scrambling, awesome ridge walking, excellent views with the usual dose of interesting peninsula fynbos and chance wildlife encounters of the infamous ones too...

Route: We hike a lollipop route on Devil's Peak with the aim of reaching the summit via the iconic Mowbray Ridge and Knife Edge. Return via northern slopes. For the sure footed and fit hiker who is comfortable with exposure to heights.

Distance: 8 km

Duration: 7 hrs

Difficulty: Strenuous

Grade: B-grade route on rugged footpath with plenty rock scrambling and exposure to heights.

Elevation: 900m gain/loss

Cost: R200 per person (*Needs 6 people for the hike to run)
