World Sandwich Day: A Mountain Of Sandwiches!

Help us make a mountain of sandwiches and rise against hunger!

Ladles of Love is asking people to rise against hunger on World Sandwich Day! Help make a mountain of Sandwiches on Tuesday 3rd November to be distributed to people in need. Through the generous donations from SASKO, Anchor Yeast and Rhodes Quality, we have enough bread and spreads to make 50 000 sandwiches! These sandwiches will be distributed to sandwich hubs where volunteers can join in the fun with us and spread the love.

The Ladles of Love Sandwich Drive has generated over 3 MILLION home-made sandwiches so far and changed the COVID story to one of kindness and hope. Currently, 15000 children are receiving sandwiches daily and to keep the sarmies going, the organisation needs to raise R75.00 per child per month. A donation of R75 will pay for a child to receive a sandwich from us, every day for a month.

Founder of Ladles of Love, Danny Diliberto, will match one step up for every sandwich made - by climbing the iconic Table Mountain! This is our show of gratitude for the incredible support Cape Town and South Africa have shown during 2020.  People who would like to hike with purpose and join this event can buy a ticket to join Danny on his mission (R550) or simply just volunteer to make sandwiches (totally free - just book your slot in the Quicket ticketing options).

Come volunteer with us at one of our vibey sandwich hubs around the country - it's totally free to volunteer and you'll be part of making that sandwich mountain!

Just select your preferred venue to volunteer at and reserve your time slot. Please note, places are limited so book your slot now to guarantee a spot. We provide you with apron, hairnets, sanitiser and sandwich ingredients - but volunteers MUST bring their own facemask with them. You will not be permitted to take part without your mask.
