A Floral Embroidery Workshop with the Cape Town Craft Club

Come and learn the art of embroidery with Andie Reeves, textile artist and owner of the Cape Town Craft Club. We will spend the morning learning the basics of embroidery, with a focus on creating beautiful floral and leafy details. Perfect for absolute beginners, this workshop will cover everything from threading a needle to choosing the right fabric and threads, from tracing a design onto fabric to choosing which stitches to use. Participants will walk away knowing a number of essential embroidery techniques, how to use them to make their own hand-sewn pieces, all the equipment needed to continue stitching at home, and a new favourite hobby.

Ticket includes all materials as well as a drink and a snack from our venue, The Ladder. Spaces are limited and all social distancing precautions will be followed.
