Holding the title as the second highest peak in the Western Cape, the Matroosberg Mountain forms part of the Hex River Mountain range offering the aspirational skyrunner an unforgettable high altitude running canvas. It is also home to the Matroosberg Trail Challenge, a challenging Skymarathon® that will test runner limits to the max as they ascend to the summit. Climbing straight up the mountain off the starting line will be breathtaking (in more ways than one) as you soak up the views of the surrounding peaks as they materialise on the horizon.
