Wilro Park Baptist Church

Wilro Park Baptist Church is based in Roodepoort, Johannesburg and offers a family-friendly worship experience. We are dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and our goal is that, together, as we share in the grace of God, we would all become more like Him. We invite you to become a part of our growing congregation, and look forward to meeting you!

We are recommencing our Sunday Worship Services from 11 October 2020. For the first few weeks we will start with a single service at 9:30AM. Based on the demand we will then consider resuming the 8:00AM and evening services as well.

Please note that according to the 50% capacity stipulated by the Government Regulations there are only 80 Seats available for online booking. You only need to reserve seats for adults and children that will be attending the worship service. For the sake of recording for COVID-19 contact, please fill in the personal details for every person in your party that you book for.

PLEASE NOTE: We have added a seating chart to the booking system, This is purely to show the number of available seats remaining. You will still be able to sit anywhere in the church where there is an available seat.

You do not need to book seats for children who will be attending Discipleland.

Online Bookings for each service will open on a Tuesday Morning and close on Saturday evenings at 8PM for the Sunday morning following.

Should you prefer not to join us in person, you can continue following the Sunday Online Service on our website: https://www.wilroparkbaptist.org.za/online-service

Covid-19 Update

Published at: 29-09-2020 19:10
Dear Church Family and Friends

Meeting Together Again!
We have some amazing news for you! Last week, President Ramaphosa announced to the nation that we were all in lockdown level 1 as of midnight on Sunday 20 September 2020. This means that we get to gather again, as a church, using 50% of our capacity.

We are planning, God willing, to have our first worship service at the church at 9: 30am on Sunday 11 October 2020. For the next few weeks we will only have a 9: 30am service. We will gauge the demand and iron out any small issues before recommencement  with 8: 00am and evening services as well.

This is not a return to normal, but rather gathering in some sort of new kind of normal, especially while still in level 1 of lockdown. So here are some very important things to keep in mind:

1. If you are displaying any COVID symptoms OR if you are in any way vulnerable, please consider continuing to worship at home.

2.  We can only seat 100 people in the main hall and the foyer overflow - that would be adults and any children that stay with their parents. So we need you to book your place. We will send out a link every Tuesday on the WhatsApp group for you to do this online. If you do not have this facility we will keep places open for those who contact Monica 084 513 2789 on the Tuesday.

3. You know the drill by now, but we still need to wear a mask and take all necessary precautions. So please give yourself enough time to get your temperature checked and be sanitized on arrival. We would appreciate everyone moving quickly through the necessary protocols in the foyer to take their seats.

We are also hoping that we will be having children’s ministry too, however you need to register your children on arrival at the Discipleland hall.

Finally, if for whatever reason you are unable to be with us on Sunday mornings, we will still have a church online option and we will keep you updated on the website and WhatsApp group.

We are so looking forward to being together, worshipping together and sharing the Word together again. See you on Sunday 11 October.

Wishing you all God’s richest blessings

Your Pastors and Elders
