24 October is World Polio Day - The online Zumba Class is to create awareness and raise funds for the End Polio Now Campaign. Accredited Zumba Instructor Verna Young will be leading a 45 minute beginners class, and everyone is welcome to join in for a morning of fun.
Random prizes for the most enthusiasm, best dressed and more will be awarded.
All proceeds go to Polio Plus and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation contribute $2 for every 1$ raised for this worldwide Rotary Initiative. There are still two countries in the world that have Polio cases, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Africa was declared Polio Free in August 2020, and we need to maintain the awareness #KeepPolioZero
