Our guest Maker Librarians for this workshop, are play activists.  We will be talking about play and how this is active in our own practice as makers. We will also be playing games and experimenting with materials. Participants are invited into a day of play, and making, and making for play!
A work of play responding to the window space and possibly the billboard at Ithubawill be installed as an outcome of this creative workshop.
All skill levels welcome, especially appealing to artists (across mediums), creative directors, designers, facilitators, people interested in social design, and those that like to have a lot of fun.

Maker Library Network (MLN) connects designers and makers around the world.  Combining reading, showing and making, this new type of creative space encourages local and international knowledge sharing. Each Maker Library contains three key elements of a library, a make-space and a gallery, and is connected to the network via an online platform for sharing skills and resources.
This project is supported by SA-UK Seasons 2014 & 2015, a partnership between the Department of Arts and Culture, South Africa and the British Council.
