Hugo Rust Primary School is proud to announce that from 1 October 2020-1 December 2020, we will be hosting a Virtual Run/Walk THE BIG SIX and a 5 km walk.


There will be 2 events.

·        16-18 October 2020: A 5 km walk/run. R50

·        1 October to 1 December 2020: THE BIG SIX run/walk including: 5km,10km,15km,20km,25 km and 30 km. R195


After purchasing your ticket register a free account on www.strava.com, and feel free to join our club Hugo Rust Big Six. If you are already a Strava user go to https://www.strava.com/clubs/HugoRust6  and join Hugo Rust Big Six and select your event.


What is THE BIG SIX?


The goal is to complete 6 different distances, ranging from 5 km to 30 km in two months. The Big Six derives from our value program which we instil in the learners, namely: respect, caring, responsibility, reliability, good citizenship and fairness.

Virtual Run Format:



  • Date: BIG SIX. Run anytime between 1 October 2020 and 1 Desember 2020.
  • Date: 5 Km 16-18 October 2020
  • Venue: Any route of your choice for the entered distance
  • Distances: 5 km or THE BIG SIX: 5km,10km,15km, 20km, 25 km and 30 km.
  • Self-supported
  • Adhere to all lockdown regulations and laws


Entry, Goodies and Details:





  • Cost: 5km R50 includes donation to SPCA, Wellington, a virtual certificate and an entry into the lucky draw.
  • Cost: THE BIG SIX R195. Entry fee includes medal to all finishers in THE BIG SIX run, a donation to SPCA, Wellington, a digital certificate and an entry into the lucky draw.
  • Complete BIG SIX race dates, distances and finishing times on Google forms: https://forms.gle/AeLTPW3EZFkUVzZu8 to receive your medal.
  • Please retain your Quicket Receipt or Reference Number for your run result to be valid on submission.
  • On successful submission of your run result, a digital certificate will be emailed to you.
  • A medal will be couriered to all South African BIG SIX finishers.
  • There are no podium or age group prizes.
  • Percentage of entry goes to SPCA, Wellington.
