World Rabies Day - Vaccination Drive

Sun Sep 27, 06:00 - Sun Sep 27, 13:00
Kwangcolosi Valley

Sanctuary Project and Pulse Veterinary Clinic were approached by Salome of KZN Valley Dogs, to support with a Vaccination Drive on her Sunday feeding route.

Salome wakes up each and every Sunday to feed the dogs of the Kwangcolosi Valley. She feeds roughly 100 dogs each Sunday and has noticed that there has been a surge in sickly pups being brought in by the children. Rabies, Parvo and other diseases are prevalent in the area.

Rabies is zootonic which means it can be transferred to humans and is deadly. It is for this reason that Salome approached us for support.

We will need to raise +/-R5 000 to make this day a reality. Dr Kahn of Pulse Veterinary Clinic will be volunteering their time to support this initiative on the day.
