ELENA ZLATKOVA

VIOLIN



Elena is a sought-after violinist and chamber musician. She partners a wide range of soloists and performs for South Africa’s most prominent corporate companies and financial institutions. Elena works regularly with the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra as well as the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra. She also spent time abroad touring Europe with prestigious Bulgarian orchestras. Elena was also a member of classical trios based in Dubai, UAE.


Elena hails from the capital city of Bulgaria, Sofia. She started to play the violin at the age of five. At the age of seven she went to study at the National School of Music Lyubomir Pipkov in Sofia. Thereafter, she graduated from the State Academy of Music Pancho Vladigerov also in Sofia, Bulgaria with an honours degree in violin performance. In 2011 Elena completed her masters in music degree with distinction. Her classical recordings feature regularly on the playlists of Classic FM (102.7).


In addition to her performance career, Elena is passionate about teaching the violin and is a music educator at a school for girls in Johannesburg. Elena is a life-long learner and has formally continued her development in studies in Psychology and Music Therapy. She is a mother of an eight-year old daughter. 


ENDIJA REZGALE

VOCALS




Latvian born Endija is a classical crossover soprano. South Africa has a very special place in her heart because this is where her dream to become a singer came true. In 2002 South African audiences got introduced to Endija at various events of the country. She was getting outstanding ovations for her renditions of Pie Jesu by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Rina Hugo's Hoor Jy My Stem.


Her first album, "Klasika", was recorded in 2005 with her favorite songs, including her very first Afrikaans songs: Hoor Jy My Stem, Jerusalem, Ek Hou Van Jou and Sweef Soos 'n Arend. Her album was launched at the Rooi Rose charity event annually organized by Cansa where she featured as a guest artist.


Endija is a prolific performer and has undertaken many concerts, festivals and events throughout South Africa and Latvia such as the Beeld Children's Fund, Reach for a Dream and CANSA organizations and the KKNK Festival. 


Endija studied vocals in Israel with a professor at the Music Academy of Jerusalem. Apart from giving concerts and regularly updating her repertoire, Endija is lecturer and currently working on her PhD in Sociology at the University of Latvia. 


Endija's repertoire includes songs from musicals, movies, opera and operetta arias, baroque music as well as songs from contemporary genre, making her performance suitable to everyone's musical taste. Especially charming is the velvet and clear timbre of her voice and her vocal power.


PAUL FERREIRA

PIANIST



Paul is an accomplished and well regarded South African pianist and has worked as a rehearsal pianist and coach at the Cape Town Opera as well as a repetiteur for Opera Africa. He has a BMus (Hons) Performance from the University of the Free State. Paul is also a music educator and teaches at several schools throughout Pretoria.
