14 August - Magdalene Minnaar & José Dias: “Nocturne”

Beautiful, evocative and well-known classical music by Romantic and Impressionist composers. Nocturne is the re-discovery of Night as a time of wonder; a space for flights of fancy; a dark world that brings fear and folly the same way it awakens passion and romantic longing. Through a selection of some of the most beautiful timeless songs and arias, you will fall under the spell of the intoxicating moon and experience all the facets of night in a truly unexpected musical journey. Including favourites like Fauré’s Clair de Lune and the gorgeous Song to the Moon from Dvorák’s Rusalka. Join soprano Magdalene Minnaar and her musical partner-in-crime, pianist José Dias, for an unforgettable 20 minutes of the most spellbinding nocturnal bliss, accompanied by live concert footage and evocative night images.
