Soul Sunday Sessions - Online Editions

Soul Sunday Sessions recently celebrated three years (156 consecutive Sundays!) of live music at Crusaders in Durban North. Throughout that time, there have been no fewer than three artists performing every week, bringing us amazing live music and making sure that we always have a great afternoon out. There has also never been an entrance fee, which means we've been able to enjoy these sessions for free!

While the national lockdown has affected all of us, the music industry has been dealt a particularly hard blow, leaving many of the musicians who’ve entertained us over the past three years with limited or no source of income. 

Confined to our homes, we’re also missing hearing them play and can assume that the current restrictions on public gatherings won’t be lifted for some time, perhaps even after the extended lockdown levels...

With all that in mind, we've taken Soul Sunday Sessions online to bring you your weekly fix of ‘live’ music. Each week, a minimum of three artists will perform for us from the safety of their homes, streaming live on Facebook from 1pm.

To show your support and appreciation for the musicians in this difficult time, donations can be made via Quicket and will be shared among the artists. All contributions are welcome! PLUS… for every R50 that you donate during July, you’ll receive one entry into the draw to win a fabulous 3-night stay for two people at the legendary Nottingham Road Hotel in the KZN Midlands, bed & breakfast included. What an amazing way to spend your first holiday after lockdown! Each week two names will be drawn to go into the final draw and the winner will be announced on 31 July 2020. Ts & Cs apply.
