ABOUT

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

Why do we ask our kids that question? Can a young child or teenager really understand the awesome spectrum of paths and possibilities that life in this world offers? There are thousands of factors that may affect one’s future. Dreams change, for one thing, usually gravitating toward one’s developing strengths and abilities, unique personality, even genetic traits.

In this conversation, I speak to two highly creative and curious teens about their dreams. The dreams they had when they were little and about all the great things they want to be when they grow up. The dreams that are livable and the dreams that are impossible.

I want to talk about what parents should do with those dreams. How do we encourage our kids without setting them up for future failure? How do we help them fit their dreams into the reality of life? And how do we teach them to dream bigger? Creativity and Curiosity begin with wondering and questioning. For innovation in any area, asking good questions is as important as finding solutions.
