The Western Cape NPO Collaboration Dialogue committee is thrilled to offer its first online event and cordially invites all ‘for-purpose’ sector leaders, decision-makers and professionals to join us Wednesday 22nd July at 10h00 for this 90 minute free webinar on Zoom.

COVID-19 is impacting nonprofits in many ways, one of which is the additional strain on already financially-stressed organisations due to reduced funding, increased risks, and demands to respond to the crisis.

Noxolo Hlongwane, Head of Philanthropy at Nedbank Private Wealth, will host a panel discussion with nonprofit sector experts CMDS and Inyathelo.

They will discuss good governance in times of financial distress and consider questions such as:

  1. What exactly is financial distress and what are the indicators?
  2. In what ways can or should organisations foresee and/or respond to and manage financial distress, particularly in the light of the massive changes we are now experiencing?
  3. If organisations have savings, investments, or own property, how does this protect them from financial distress?
  4. What are the key principles and learnings that governing bodies need to consider at this time and going forward?
