SAC Virtual Kilimanjaro Challenge

ABOUT

Since 2012, a group of passionate and adventurous individuals from around the world have annually climbed Kilimanjaro (as the SPCA Kilimanjaro Challenge) in support of the Sandton SPCA and the selfless, tireless work they do for animals and their communities. This year sadly, due to COVID-19, we are unable to face the majesty of Kilimanjaro's mountain for animals who need our help more than ever. 

So, we will climb in the clouds from the cloud! Virtually.

2020 will be the year where you can experience what it's like to climb Kili from your neighbourhood, in your home or on a hike. We have set up challenges for participants from 18 July 2020 (Nelson Mandela Day) to 22 July. Over 5 days, we aim to do 50 000 steps (or 50km if you cycle)... UPHILL! After all, Kili is 5 895m above sea level and we need to recreate the challenge.
