BIO DINO MORAN

Dino Moran is one of the worlds most sought after show music directors, He is currently the preferred music consultant to over 200 of the worlds top fashion designers who all demand radically

different soundtracks to match their collections, a challenge Dino loves as it keeps him free-thinking and open-minded whilst pushing the boundaries of trend & technology. He travels with a carefully cataloged library of over 100 000 songs to suit all brands or concepts and he has a very clear understanding of how different types of music create strong perceptions of a brand or event. Dino enjoys nothing more than to research a clients brief and develop a soundtrack that perfectly expresses the concept of a show.

Since meeting Jan Malan Africa’s leading fashion show producer 18 years ago Dino has focused intensely on music for fashion events and has developed a unique talent for giving each brand or

designer the perfect soundtrack to their collection. He also brings with him a vast music production knowledge and is able to offer custom creation of special FX and even original soundtracks.This means he has the ability to remix songs during rehearsals to make sure that the music flow is step for step perfect to the models walk and range running time.

Having performed in 38 countries to date, His 22 years of international DJ experience also come into play for live show mixing and utilizing the latest modern live performance technology he is able to sustain or extend songs on the fly to seamlessly accommodate changes and create highlights during a

show.

• Music director for 3 seasons of New York Fashion Week shows which included creating original soundtracks specifically for each designer and collaborating with Grace Jones on the

show opening sequence.

• Music director of every show and hospitality area at all 16 of the 2011 to 2017 Mercedes Benz Johannesburg, Cape Town and Africa Fashion Weeks. This relationship continues to thrive.

• Music producer and director for the past 4 “Face of Africa” model searches viewed by over 140 million people in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

• He has been commissioned to write an original score for Hugo Boss, Mercedes Benz, Shell Oil, M-net, Nokia, BBC, Africa Fashion International, Virgin Active, M-Cel, J&B, Vodacom and

Spar.

• Co-event creator and music producer of 11 very successful Mozambique Fashion Weeks which he has created original score albums for and all music for all shows over the 11 years.

• Music Director of the past 2 Fashion Business Angola Indaba’s
