A MINI MARKET_ With workshops, music and an African book and gift fair: The finale of our Sabela Series ( paired with a Christmas Market for African Kids. A parents picnic oasis, paired with Food, Music, Performance Workshops, An African Book Fair with Yellow Hat, EnthiKids, Toys with Roots, Ndoni Beauty Hair Accessories, Music Instruments & More.


The Sabela Series is one of the first programs of the Folklore Community, presenting a performance workshop of African Indigenous Instruments, African Literature and music writing and vocal styles with enthnomusicologist: Luyolo Lenga and Songwriter & Storyteller: Pilani Bubu, who is also the founder and curator of the Folklore Community, which is all about the Art of Storytelling.


Talking to the art of storytelling and intergenerational dialogue, one of our partners for the series is the Yellow Hat art books publishers and the founder Abena-Saah Mophathlane.And our venue partner is the Nelson Mandela Foundation Centre of Memory, who will be providing a tour of their exhibitions on the day.
