Introduction of Professor Tinus Maritz
Prof Tinus Maritz is a Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor. He has vast experience in practice and academia, specialising in the field of construction law during the latter part of his career. As the acting CEO of the Joint Building Construction Committee (JBCC), a body which he has served on for many years, he brings a wealth of experience to the panel as an authority on the JBCC suite of contracts.

Brad Boertje holds a B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying and is a fellow of the South African Association of Arbitrators. Brad spent 25 years working primarily with main contractors, and for 10 years held the position of Managing Director of the Building business unit at one of South Africa’s largest privately-owned construction groups. Brad is a commercial specialist, adjudicator, and arbitrator.
