About this Initiative

Constantia CAN under the umbrella of Cape Town Together, does ongoing fundraising for both monetary and in-kind donations, for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under Cape Town Together the Constantia CAN has been partnered with Khayelitsha Site B, making this one of its beneficiary areas. Although this remains our focus, we mobilise resources to address disaster relief in our own area and other vulnerable communities.

Initial target of R1 million (this can feed 8000 people for a month)

Constantia CAN has partnered with Early Learning Resource Unit (ELRU). Our key project is Constantia CAN COVID -19 Food Drive. This collaboration optimises existing infrastructure and is designed to be cost effective, adapt to a fast-changing environment, with transparency and accountability.

#riseagainsthunger

One of our key sources of meals is Rise Against Hunger at a cost of R2.90 to feed one child daily and R5.80 to feed one adult. The meals are highly nutritious and consist of rice, soya, dehydrated vegetable mix and a fortification pack of 23 essential minerals and vitamins specifically formulated to combat malnutrition (complying with the UNICEF standard).

We make it easy to rise against hunger with the click of a button!
