ABOUT

Could your R20 save a life today?

Even in the face of a rapidly increasing number of requests for help in our community due to the loss of income caused by the Covid-19 lockdown, residents and resident businesses are coming together in solidarity, empathy and compassion to help our neighbours in Hanover Park, only 10 minutes away, who are living in dire poverty and crime, with many now facing starvation and severe malnutrition.

Harfield Village Association facilitates fundraising for the community of Harfield Village, the little jewel of the southern suburbs of Cape Town, South Africa, to help support our most vulnerable.

Through fund raising, membership fees, donations, volunteering and supporting community soup kitchens, the Harfield Village Association are able to, for a s little as R20 ($1,07/ €0,97) per day, supply one person with food and essential items.

Saving lives, making a difference despite own challenges. Creating a new world through this crisis…….together.

Join us in this campaign of saving a life a day, taking care of our most vulnerable while building community and unity across our neighbourhoods.

We need your help…..

Please share this message with as many as you can and ask friends, family and colleagues to donate as little as R20 ($1,07/ €0,97) to keep one person alive for one day.

For those in the Cape Town area please feel free to also donate food or essential items like soap, sanitiser, sanitary pads, clothes, baby clothes, bottles and blankets. Keeping in mind that the winter months are approaching, and the challenges continue.
