L a u r e n M a n n i n g is a Cape Town based vocalist, lyricist, visual and performance artist. She writes from her heart and sings from a part of herself that can only be accessed through sound. Her voice is smoky, hazy and wistful – like a cup of your favourite tea on a stormy afternoon. Moving between an indie, soul, jazz and blues influence with a dash of other stuff here and there, Lauren asks audiences to be vulnerable with her as she takes them on a journey.

Accompanying her is pianist Nobuhle Ashanti, band leader of ‘The Ashanti Tribe’ and 'STAGE4', Kurt Bowers on drums and bassist Sean Bratz.

S T A G E 4 is a recent collaboration between artists and friends Nobuhle Ashanti on keys, Kurt Bowers on drums, Jodi Fredericks on vocals and Sean Bratz on Bass. The name came about around the same time Stage 4 loadshedding hit, but conversely refers to the final stage of a butterfly's life cycle; opening it's wings to fly. The group plays soulful, jazzy old and new covers- think Erykah Badu and LIVING MY LIFE LIKE IT'S GOLDEN (golden, golden!) -among others, as well as a few originals that'll have you deep in your feels. STAGE4 is nothing short of a powerhouse. Prepare to be blown away.
