ABOUT

The Lego Boost Workshop

Construct and code Vernie the Robot to dance, rock out on the Guitar4000, foster Frankie the Cat, interact with the Autobuilder, or explore a new discovery with the M.T.R.4 (Multi-Tooled Rover 4).

Use the latest tech like color, distance and tilt sensors.

Building Lego

  • We start with learning how to build the Lego Boost robots.
  • Choose from Vernie the Robot, Guitar4000, Frankie the Cat, AutoBuilder, and M.T.R.4.
  • Construction techniques build spatial skills in children and the ability to understand and reason.

Moving your robot using basic computer programming.

  • This is where things get interesting and Vernie starts to move. This teaches geographical skills as well as basic motor skills.

Creating a sequence of movement using computer programming.

  • This builds programming ability and logical understanding.
  • Create Loops and Switches to enable the robot to perform repetitive tasks and to respond to its environment.

Target Practice

  • This activity focuses on motor skills and understanding how programing works. Click here to see some fun examples of Vernie’s target practice.

Please note that the entrance is in Browning Road.
