ABOUT
Hazendal’s hit Jazz Club is excited to start its Jazz Series again with sought-after Cape Town based Jazz saxophonist Dan Shout and his band “In with a Shout”.
Dan has performed in over 30 countries across five continents with many top Jazz musicians, including Johnny Clegg, Maria Schneider and Gordon Vernick (USA) to name a few. Some of his career highlights include performing at the Montreal Jazz Festival (Canada) and the Wigan International Jazz Festival (England).
‘In With a Shout’ will feature Shout’s original compositions, which reflect his life- trajectory through Southern Africa – his family’s emigration from Zimbabwe, his formative years in the Namib Desert and his spiritual homecoming to the slopes of Table Mountain in Cape Town where he now resides. The music is infused with the sounds and souls of the music and musicians Dan has been exposed to and with whom he has performed.
We invite all our guests to our Wine Tasting Lounge before the show to enjoy a wine tasting, a glass wine or one of our signature cocktails. Hazendal’s tapas-style inspired menu will be available during the show.
