ABOUT

The TBF aims to help and support ALL workers in the Entertainment Industry in times of need.

The Theatre Benevolent Fund exists for EVERYBODY who works / has worked professionally in the entertainment industry: Film • Radio • TV • Theatre • Dance • Opera • Live Performance • Perfoming Arts • Circus

There are countless people who work and freelance in the entertainment industry who are now impacted by the effects Covid-19 is having on the South African arts. Think about "soap stars and scene shifters, ballerinas and broadcasters, circus jugglers and singers, technicians, designers, publicists, musicians, magicians, directors, producers, focus pullers and stuntmen..."

The Theatre Benevolent Fund helps those eligible who apply to them for support during this time. That said, they rely entirely on donations to keep them going. They can't do help these people without your support.

Your donation can help an industry professional. The TBF provides monthly grants for beneficiaries, contribute towards medical and hospital costs and funeral costs, help widows and dependants, and assist with sourcing wheelchairs, walkers, and ongoing medical supplies such as adult diapers.
