The West Coast of the Western Cape province is a rural district with tremendous natural beauty that attracts tourists and other visitors alike. The district, however, face many societal challenges that have been highlighted and compared to other rural areas. Is it fair and realistic to compare rural districts or are the lived realities experienced by the people different here which warrants a separate look?
Our aim was to find out from young people how they see the West Coast and in what ways they feel development efforts should be geared for more sustainable development.
Come join us as we share the Findings of the Needs Analysis and see if your understanding match the lived experiences as expressed by rural young people.
