South African comedian Dalin Oliver returns to Stellenbosch for one night only with his multi-award-winning, globe-trotting one-man stand-up show, 90 Day Comedian. He’s back by popular demand for a final performance at Thirsty Scarecrow on Thursday 16 October.

Dalin’s fresh from performing at the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and cant’ wait to dive into themes of identity, culture, and belonging—offering a hilarious yet moving reflection on what it means to be proudly South African in a world that often misunderstands our people, culture, rich heritage and diversity.

A former high school teacher turned laughter specialist, Dalin’s sharp wit and infectious charm has won over audiences around the world, following performances of this show in seven countries and 19 cities outside of South Africa - including Australia, Ireland, the Netherlands, England, France, Spain, and Germany.

About Dalin Oliver

Dalin Oliver is a celebrated South African comedian and sports broadcaster who has performed in 10 countries and 23 cities, entertaining audiences from all walks of life.

His one-man show, 90 Day Comedian, earned international and local acclaim, winning the Best Weekly Comedy Show at Fringe World in Perth and a Bronze Standard Bank Ovation Award at South Africa’s National Arts Festival, as part of the World Fringe Network. The show also received two Comics Choice Comedy Awards in South Africa, further cementing its impact and success.

Career highlights include performing at the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Africa’s biggest comedy festival Laugh Africa, and one of South Africa’s premier comedy festivals, the Jive Cape Town Funny Festival. His biggest tours to date saw him perform 5 cities Across Australia and across six countries and 13 cities in Europe, with stops in England, Ireland, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Spain.

Dalin has five comedy specials under his belt—two of which were filmed and broadcast by local networks. He was the lead in the action-comedy Finders Keepers, which screened in cinemas nationwide, and has also appeared on Comedy Central Africa.

In addition to his stand-up success, Dalin boasts a 10-year career as a prime time radio sports presenter and is a multi-award-nominated voice in South African sports broadcasting. He also hosts The Late Late Tackle, an online show featuring South Africa’s four-time Rugby World Cup champions, the Springboks.

From stage to screen to studio, Dalin continues to bring his trademark energy, wit, and authenticity to audiences at home and around the world.
