Fri Mar 13, 18:00 - Fri Mar 13, 22:00

Rustenburg Girls' High School - Kemp Hall

ABOUT

ADVANCE TICKET SALES NOW CLOSED - You can still get tickets on the gate, but for R70 (CASH ONLY)

The Open-Air Movie evening is becoming a tradition at Rustenburg High School for Girls, hosted on our hockey fields with the backdrop of Devil's Peak and a host of stars. Bring your picnic blanket and snuggle up in front of our giant, inflatable screen with family and friends while you enjoy our feature movie.

Since it is Friday the 13th, we are screening a Horror movie, but with a Romantic Comedy twist - A terrible plague has left the planet divided between zombies and humans. An unusual zombie named R (Nicholas Hoult) sees his fellow zombies attacking a living woman named Julie (Teresa Palmer) and rescues her. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and the pair embark on an unusual relationship. As their bond grows and R becomes more and more human, a chain of events unfolds that could transform the entire lifeless world.

This "ZomRomCom" is filled with allusions to Shakespear's iconic star-crossed lovers and is smart and entertaining, with some very witty writing. The movie is rated PG-13 (zombie violence & some language).

Online ticket sales close on the day before the event - tickets will be available on the night, but at a cost of R70, so get yours in advance.
