ABOUT
This is the inaugural Dog Walk and Fun Day for the whole family organised by The Drakenstein Volunteer Animal Rescue organisation and will take place in the renowned and very beautiful Paarl Arboretum
The Arboretum is situated on the eastern bank of the Berg River, is 2.8 km long and occupies approximately 31 ha. Divided into 6 “continents” a unique feature is that trees and shrubs are grouped according to continents of origin.
- We will have different routes to walk your dog.
- There will be a Treasure hunt on route where you and your dog can try to find some hidden treats.
- We will have different competitions with lots of prizes.
- Lucky draws will be done.
- There will be demonstrations and stalls offering different animal related products and sharing ideas.
- On offer will be an opportunity to have your dog micro-chipped at a special price.
- Food stalls will be available
It promises to be an enjoyable day with lots of fun and exercise!

All proceeds will go towards our ongoing mission to improve the lives of needy animal in the Paarl area.
Take a slow drive to Paarl and enjoy a day in the outdoors in the Arboretum running alongside the beautiful Berg River.
