As part of “City Explorations,” a series of tours happening in collaboration with Creative Cape Town during Creative Week, you’re invited to experience a unique tour of Khayelitsha’s street art led by Juma Mkwela and SJ Artists.Works from both local and international artists will be visited and discussed. For lunch, participants will experience a traditional tshisa nyama meal at Khayelitsha’s very own Tamara’s Food. (*Please bring cash for this; there will be a vegetarian option.)
Juma Mkwela is a Zimbabwean artist, instructor, community builder and social
entrepreneur currently living in Cape Town, South Africa. He is co-founder ofJullard Creations, an organization dedicated to serving communities within Africa using art
as a tool to bring about positive change, as well as a registered tour guide.
Shani Judes of SJ Artists is a connector, curator & art facilitator in Cape Town.
