Ruda Landman

Most of you will know Ruda Landman from the 19 years she spent as co-anchor of M-Net’s Carte Blanche, for which she

received an honorary doctorate from Stellenbosch University. Since leaving the show in 2007 what has given her the most

joy was a series of interviews for a website, some of captured in her 2018 anthology Tell me your story.

Over the last 8 years she has focused on writing and distributing booklets with soft skills for students – time and money

management, effective study, managing relationships, coping with stress, finding a job, being professional in the new work

place. A new variation aimed at senior school learners saw the light this year.

She has never been happier.

Elzabé Zietsman

Elzabé has worked in almost every medium of entertainment: On stage in drama, comedy, farce, pantomime, revues and

musicals. On film and television in music specials, cabaret programs, soap operas, dramas, series, as actress, singer, chef,

presenter, interviewer and interviewee.

Elzabé was a founder member of the non-profit organization, The Doilie Foundation that was registered in 2013 and took

care of exceptionally talented children who would otherwise not be able to fulfill their potential. This became an almost

full-time job as four of the beneficiaries ofthe foundation were put into Elzabé’s foster care.

Elzabé is currently touring with the one-woman play Routrip, written by Johann Slabbert, and she will be returning to

Cabaret this year with Vier Panado’s en ‘n Chardonnay.

Michele Magwood

Michele is an award-winning literary Journalist and former Book Editor of the Sunday Times.
