The Rectron's first annual MTB Challenge is brought to you in support of St Luke's Hospice, who are humble in their mission and determined in their undertaking to Hold the Hearts and Hands of patients and their families through the final stages of this life.

- Boschendal has long been famous for its generous picnic baskets enjoyed on the spacious estate lawns, and during the warm summer months the estate gardens provide the perfect setting for a picnic lunch in the shadow of the Simonsberg. Their classic Boschendal full service picnic is located on the Rhone lawns adjacent to the Rhone Homestead, Cellar Door and Winery. This area is the wine-making and wine-tasting hub of Boschendal. Rhone Picnic baskets can be enjoyed at carefully-laid out tables or on a picnic blanket under the shade.
- Rhone picnic baskets include food made from our natural farm produce including delicate pates, freshly baked bread, three delicious salads, our classic coronation chicken, a selection of cold meats, homemade whole grain mustard mayo, artisan cheeses and one of our celebrated desserts.
- Pre-booking Rhone Traditional, Vegetarian & Kiddies baskets are essential, and can be done during your online entry. Beverages are not included.

- Buffet Lunch @ the Rhone Homestead Restaurant
- Situated next door to the Cellar Door and Winery, the Rhone Homestead is open for Buffet lunches. All their dishes pay homage to their heritage as a traditional Boland farm with recipes passed down through generations of Boschendal cooks.

ROUTES & SEEDING
SEEDING, TIMING & RESULTS
Great-Time will be managing the seeded starts on the 21km & 40km races, based on SASeeding rankings.
The 10km Fun Ride will have a single start, and no timing will be done on this race.
Great-Time will also be managing the race timing results, and spectators & riders will be able to view these results live, at the finish line.
Prize Giving at 1pm will be based on results pulled at 12pm, and therefore riders are urged to bring any timing queries to the attention of a Great-Time official, before results are pulled.

Consists of farm roads & jeep track along dams, orchards and vineyards.
No public road crossings.
21km Intermediate Race Profile
21km | 500m Ascent
This trail consists of farm road, jeep tracks and flowing single tracks along dams, orchards and vineyards.
This trail crosses the R310 twice.
40km Advance Race Profile
40km | 1100m Ascent
This trail consist of farm road, jeep track and technical single track along dams, orchards, vineyards and game enclosures.
The trail crosses the R310 twice.
Uphill Challenge Profile
2km | 150m Ascent
This on-route challenge is included in the 21km & 40km routes, and all participants competing in these two races will automatically take part in this challenge.
Start and End points for this challenge will be clearly marked on route.
This challenge starts off on farm road and ends in a winding single track.
Downhill Challenge Profile
4.7km | 380m decent
This Uphill Challenge is included in the 40km race, and all participant of this race will automatically take part in the challenge.
Start and Finish points for this challenge will be clearly marked on route.
This section of the trail consists of winding single track.
WARNING: Only attempt to compete in this challenge if you have the necessary skill.

Race Numbers & Goody Bags can be collected from the "Late Entries" station during pre-registration on 12 October or on 15 October, 30min before the entered race starts.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please take note of these important Terms & Conditions
- No helmet, no ride.
- No children u/15 allowed on the 21km intermediate and 40km advance races, due to trail technicality.
- All children u/10 taking part in the fun ride, must be accompanied by an adult.
- Do not attempt to take part in the Downhill Challenge, unless you possess the necessary skill to do so safely.
- Start times may change depending on final amount of entries per race.
- Race results pulled at 12:00pm on the day, will be considered final and used for the prize giving.
- Any result queries needs to be brought to the attention of a Great-Time representative before 12:00pm on the day.
- Prizes selected for podium positions, challenge winners and lucky draws are at the discretion of the sponsors and organisers.
- No timing results and podium prizes will be available on the fun ride.
- Only the first 500 online entries will receive a jam packed goodie bag.
- Online Entries close on Wednesday, 5th October 2016 @ 23:59
- No late entries will be accepted.
- All participants & attendees acknowledge and agree that participation in/ attending of the above event is/could be dangerous and could result in physical injury and or damage to property. That participation is at their sole and absolute risk. That they waive and abandon any or all claim of whatever nature that may arise from such participation against the organiser and/or any members, agents, representatives or sponsors acting on their behalf or otherwise, whether such claims arise from the default, negligence or any other act or omission on the part of the aforesaid person/s.
