New to the City of Gold and feeling lost in its lingo or a die hard fan who speaks fluent Jozi?Welcome to Translating Joburg - a series of networking evenings for expats, newcomers and Joburg natives who want to discover something new in the city or share their passion for our urban jungle.
Our first event - City of Craft - aims to translate Joburg through the medium of the Craft Movement.
Meet three of Joburg's MOST exciting master craftsmen making waves with their locally brewed, blended and distilled BEER, WINE & GIN. They include Joburg Brew, The Parks Winery and Time Anchor Distillery, all created with the city limits.
Join us for a unique tasting paired with canapés created from local delicacies by Philippa Robinson of Masterchef SA fame and her new venture, Love & Lemon Catering. We will then explore the rise and rise of Craft, what it is like being in the business of CRAFT and what makes Johannesburg an exciting craft destination during our Q&A panel discussion.
Finally we share with you the best places in Joburg to sample locally crafted wine and spirits, destination spirits as well as wine and upcoming festivals to look out for.
